Enquirer gets a "C"

Journalism students at Miami University graded Cincinnati's major media, and the Enquirer got the best grade. Which was a C. I'm surprised it was that high.

I give them an F- in journalism!

They get an A+ in corporate propaganda though!

Gosh.. a C for the Enquirer and D's and F's for the rest? They must have been grading on a curve.

The only thing that the Enquirer has going for it is that the alternatives are dismal. Comparing capabilities, a newspaper should be head-and-shoulders above television simply due to the media-type, costs and time-space. That should mean the internet is better but cincinnati.com, Enquirer.com and nky.com reek just like their paper companion(s). Could this mean poor management? Or, worse, that we accept it to be "as good as it gets"? Terrible status quo.

There ought to be an alternative.
